2016
The first post
Started as a single Dark Souls III write-up published from a share house on Foveaux Street. It hit the front page of a subreddit overnight — and the realm was born.
2019
Lore vault launched
We built a searchable archive of item descriptions, NPC arcs and cut content across the FromSoftware catalogue — now cited by speedrunners and streamers alike.
2022
Elden Ring, no ads
Our 40,000-word Lands Between atlas went out completely ad-free, funded entirely by readers. We committed then to never running a paid review score.
2024
A real newsroom
Now a five-person team covering soulslikes, gothic CRPGs and indie horror from a proper studio in Surry Hills, publishing four long-form pieces every week.
